Dim Sum Funeral The point of

Dim Sum Funeral

The point of Dim Sum Funeral entire piece is to say that it is definitely time for unity. Sure, it sounds corny, but I believe this year has been a strong indication that this is the path that will lead us to the Hip-Hop Promise Land. Its already here in many ways. Kanye working with Drake, who works with Jay-Z, who works with Nicki who works with Lil Wayne, got out of jail. But, it isnt limited to the commercial rappers. Look at Big, Curreny, Yelawolf and Wiz Khalifa. They are all working together in their own way, which has galvanized their base of fans without murdering each others career. Slaughterhouse is further proof of this. Joe Budden and Royce Da 59 had a beef at one point and, in joining forces with Joell Ortiz and Crooked I, they got Eminems attention. Eminem and Royce, once best of friends, had one of the worst beefs. At press time, that Slaughterhouse/Eminem deal had yet to be signed, but insiders swear it will happen. Kanye, Camron and Jim Jones were at odds earlier this year, but they just got together on a Christmas song. Hopefully, the point is understood. I love where Hip-Hop is headed. Yes, I loved the Kanye West Friday series for its display of solidarity between the elite, all the while ushering new acts like CyHi Da Pryce in. 50 Cent wont be linking back with The Game no matter how much the Compton rapper pleads, but hes still shed a lot of his old angst towards cats like Kanye. Lloyd Banks wins in the end. I suspect even 50 knows that beef has run its course. Hes on everybodys songs these days. The Game certainly knows and, to be honest, he made some solid points in his effort to rejoin G-Unit. Truth is, a lot o acts have an even bigger battle ahead of themthe battle for a career in music. Clique up and lets do it. Beef for the sake of beef is dead stinkin and rotten. Sorry but that subliminal game has always been wack and if youre all of a sudden not gonna respond to taunts and disses coming your way when you did the same yourself, youre making yourself look bigger than Hip Hop!! Thats taking the fun out of it. Youre chips and stature has nothing to do with your name in the ring. You can hate LL Cool J all you want, call him a wack, sellout playboy but mention his name on a track and youll hear a response and thats always been apart of the genetics of Hip Hop. Taking that away, is already watering down a culture thats drowning. Its not about hating the emcee but if you got something on your chest you better bring it and if the response wasnt given, was the accusations true? Think about it, back in junior high, I actually bought the 2pac How Do U Want It single just to hear the Hit Em Up B Side everyone at the bus stop was talking bout, now kids just go online and one click of the mouse later they have it for free Theonly people who Dim Sum Funeral about beef are the cats who sit on sites like this and Youtube arguin bout it, and those are the ones who 90% of the time dont buy anything, so it doesnt make any Dim Sum Funeral to invest time and energy into a beef thats not gonna profit anyone Nothing than rap battles. Of course only if they stay on vinyl. Nothing better than Hip Hop battles, good MCs or not.
