First off, forgive me if I dont always use the right technical language. Ill try to explain everything in a way that people who know about this stuff will get what I mean. Ive had a Westinghouse HDTV for a few years, never had any problems with it. Recently, I bought a Vizio Blu Ray player first time Ive ever hooked up a Blu Ray player to this TV. I also have basic cable and a Nintendo Wii, which have been hooked up together for a while with no problems. So right now I have the Vizio, the Wii and the cable TV hooked up. Vizio with an HDMI cable, Wii with the three-pronged, red, white and yellow cord and cable with the cable hookup the cable compnay provided; just basic, standard. About a week after all this was set up, I started noticing occasional pink and green snowy static on the picture. At first, it was only when wathcing TV. Then it popped up while my son was watching a DVD not a Blu Ray disc, but on the Blu Ray player. It still happens only occasionally, and still mostly while watching TV. Ive yet to notice it while watching a Blu Ray disc. So: any ideas? I did a little research and it seems the HDMI cable could be the issue, but then why would it happen while watching TV, which runs through another cable, with the Blu Ray player off? I really hope its not my TV.
