Kemper arena ghost The blu ray

Kemper arena ghost

The blu ray quality and sound of this player is exceptional and does what advertises. The only minor critiques I have of the N460 is that the DVD upscaling could be better haven t compared it to other blu ray players and certain netflix movies/episodes will have to buffer constantly I have a 20Mbps connection and so it s not my internet. Either it s netflix or this player. Overall, this is a relatively low cost, high quality blu ray player and I would recommend it to people on a budget and looking to expand their home entertainment system. Can t seem to go wrong with Sony! Have had Panasonic and other manufacturers, but they never seem to have the versatility that Sony offers. What impressed me most about this unit was that it automatically changed the setting on my plasma to recognize its signal, rather than my selecting the component from the plasma s menu screen something I always had to do with other manufacturers. After viewing a Blu-ray disc and ejecting it, the plasma goes right back to its HD/cable settings for TV viewing. It might not seem like much, but saving 3 or 4 additional steps and using only one remote is a welcomed change from my previous DVD player. It s one of the easiest video kemper arena ghost I ve ever set up and used within seconds it s money well spent! This is a great piece of equipment but realize that you still have to purchase an HDMI cable, a thumb drive and a wireless bridge to connect to the internet in order to enjoy all of the features of the blu-ray. Also, my receiver was capable of decoding Dolby 1, but NOT able to decode the true HD audio, so I had to connect the audio with the traditional plugs but it still sounds pretty good over a good surround sound system. The price was great, considering it was nearly 80 less than Best Buy s sale price, and they would NOT price match! Too bad for them, as they lost the sale, and what I saved took the sting out of the extra s I had to buy. You will really enjoy this player, plus the streaming Netflix is awesome!! I bought this player last December to replace my aging, home-built Media Center pc primarily used for DVD watching and Netflix streaming and to finally upgrade to blue-ray. I have not been dissapointed in the least with this unit. Netflix HD content streams just fine and the blue-ray disk loading is fast to other players that I have seen. My neighbor purchased the same unit soon after I did and they too have no complaints about streaming issues with Netflix. We are both on Comcast cable. I highly recommend this player. I researched several blu-ray players before settling on this one. We have an Bravia TV, so this seemed the best partner for our TV. Indeed, that part kemper arena ghost well. One button on the BD remote starts the blu-ray player, turns on the TV and automatically switches the input to the blu-ray player. Turning it off does the same thing in reverse. I do not use the power-consuming instant on feature but the start-up is fairly quick. The physical set-up was easy. HDMI to the TV, digital coax to the receiver for optional surround sound, network cable, and power. DVD playback is excellent for movies. No problem with DVD-R or DVDR, but I have not tried DVD/RW discs. It took quite a bit of fiddling around to kemper arena ghost the right settings on the TV and player so video playback was smooth. Compared with our old non-progressive scan DVD player, it s fantastic. Netflix has had mixed success. I ve watched 2-3 standard def movies and 2-3 HD. The standard def movies are fine, although after watching a lot of HD television in 1080i FIOS, it s a step back in quality. I m a bit disappointed the sound isn t available in 1 for HD movies which we have for HD movies in FIOS. With the HD movies, I see the same jerkiness others have reported. It s not terrible and I was still able to enjoy the movie. I do not see any buffering issues. The movies start, rewind, forward, etc. without a glitch. I tend not to watch a movie in one sitting so being able to resume right where I left off is great. One feature I like on the player is the LACK of an eject button on the remote.
