In a short time its founders, Drect, Lush one and Madd Illz, transformed GTN from a mom-and-pop rap battle business into a worldwide mecca for MCs and fans to enjoy. GTN is one of the only leagues that have effectively created massive events rich in diversity, culture, and dynamic artists. In May 2010, its West Coast division, headed by Lush One, GTWCs CEO, produced the Massacre of the Bay MOB, which is considered one of the largest and most successful rap battle festivals in the nation. MOB was a two-day festival attended by over 1, 500 people. The MOB crowd was entertained by various exhibits, graffiti artists, break-dancers and battle MCs. I discovered GTN a few years ago through World Star Hip Hop WWHH, an urban news and entertainment website. Its featured rap battles on WWHH allowed me to familiarize myself with its jason and the argonauts trailer players. Later, I scanned You Tube for days and viewed all its MCs past battle videos. Its, GTN, cast of personalities and MCs excited, inspired and entertained me so much that I became a full-fledged fan. I quickly became an instant supporter of Dumbfoundead, a battle MC from Los Angeles Koreatown, California. Dumbfoundead is truly amazing MC to watch. His superior oratory talents and easygoing persona has made him one of my favorite MCs. Ive watched as his critical thinking skills and sharp comedic timing disarm his opponent in one punch line. Lately, I have noticed his popularity is growing. Every time I viewed his posted You Tube videos, he is either hosting a huge music event or performing at one.
